# 2026-09-16 Release Note

The update for HyperLab on Sep 17, 2026, has been completed.

**HyperLab Version : 2026.09.17**

***

## 📢 Changelogs

This update introduces direct Hotspot/Epitope selection in the 3D Viewer and knowledge graph-based exploration with an interactive Graph Viewer.

You can now select residues directly while inspecting a protein structure in 3D, and explore relationships among genes, diseases, drugs, and other biological entities together with the evidence used to support the Agent’s response.

## Bio Co-Scientist Updates

### 1. Select Hotspots and Epitopes Directly in the 3D Viewer

During protein design workflows, you can now **select Hotspot or Epitope residues directly while viewing the protein structure in 3D**.

In addition to selecting from the Hotspot/Epitope options suggested during research setup, you can now choose **\[Open in Viewer and Select]** to inspect the structure and define residues yourself.

* Selecting **\[Open in Viewer and Select]** opens the 3D Viewer with the recommended Hotspot/Epitope residues highlighted.
* You can click residues directly in the 3D Viewer to add them or adjust the current selection.
* Selected residues are displayed in the Chain:Residue Number format, making it easy to identify the currently selected positions.

This allows you not only to use the recommended residues as provided, but also to **inspect their locations in the 3D structure and define Hotspots or Epitopes that better match your research objective**.

### 2. Knowledge Graph-Based Exploration and Interactive Graph Viewer

HyperLab Agent can now **explore biological knowledge graphs and use relationships among genes, diseases, drugs, biological processes, and other entities as supporting evidence for its responses**.

In addition to summarizing literature and web search results, the Agent can now investigate **how multiple biological entities are connected within a knowledge graph** and incorporate those relationships into its response.

When a question benefits from knowledge graph exploration, the Agent automatically performs the search without requiring any additional configuration. You can follow the exploration process directly in the chat.

* Explore relationships among a wide range of biological entities.
* Distinguish the type and direction of each relationship.
* Display multiple relationship types separately when more than one relationship exists between the same pair of entities.
* Consider relationship direction, such as activation or inhibition, together with confidence information when using the graph as supporting evidence.
* Once exploration is complete, a **Knowledge Graph result card containing only the nodes and relationships actually used to support the final response** is displayed alongside the answer, rather than the entire exploration path.

#### Explore Results in the Graph Viewer

Select **\[View in Viewer]** from the Knowledge Graph result card to inspect the results in a full-screen interactive Graph Viewer.

The Viewer provides the following features:

* Search nodes by name
* Adjust node size and spacing
* Filter categories using the legend
* Toggle node and relationship labels
* Zoom in and out
* Fit the entire graph to the screen
* Save the graph as an image

No additional setup or action is required. Knowledge graph exploration is available directly within your existing chat workflow and is automatically used **when the Agent determines that it would be helpful for the question**.

This makes it easier to understand **which biological relationships contributed to the Agent’s response** and to use the explored connections as a starting point for new hypotheses or follow-up research questions.
