# Project Home

Your research dashboard — track progress, review AI insights, and decide what to do next.

**Project Home is the command center for your research.** AI synthesizes all analysis results into project-wide insights, recommends next steps for each analysis, and surfaces relevant research trends to help you make faster, better-informed decisions.

## 1. Starting a New Analysis

You can start a new analysis directly from Project Home. Two types are available:

* **AI data analysis** — Upload a data file and run analysis through a conversation with AI.
* **Integrative analysis** — Synthesize results from multiple analyses within the project for deeper insights.

New analyses cannot be started in the following cases:

* All credits have been used up
* The project has reached its analysis limit

Integrative analysis becomes available after at least two AI data analyses have been accumulated within the project.

## 2. Checking Project Insights

AI continuously synthesizes all analysis results and project information to generate **Project insights**.

To refresh insights with the latest data, click the **\[Refresh]** button.

## 3. Reviewing Next Step Recommendations

AI recommends next actions per analysis to guide your research forward. Clicking a recommendation takes you to that analysis and pre-fills the input with the suggested action — just submit to continue.

Next step recommendations are updated together with Project insights. There is no separate refresh button — they update automatically when you refresh the insights.

## 4. Exploring Research Trends

Based on your project information and analysis insights, OmicsHorizon automatically fetches related **papers** and **news**. Click any item to open the original source.

You can add or remove search keywords to refine the scope of research trends shown.

## 5. Editing Project Information

Click the **\[More ⋯]** button next to the project name, then select **\[Edit project information]**. This opens the project information modal.

The following fields can be edited:

* **Project name** — Up to 200 characters.
* **Research objectives and hypotheses** — Describe the core questions, goals, and expected outcomes of your research. Up to 10,000 characters.
* **Research guidelines** — Optional additional instructions for AI to follow during analysis, such as research scope, analysis style, or elements to include or exclude.

To undo your edits and go back to the previous state, click **\[Revert to previous version]**.

When you are done, click **\[Confirm]** to save.

Editing project information will affect what is shown in **Project insights, Next step recommendations, and Research trends**.

It may also make it difficult to reproduce past analyses under the same conditions — please edit carefully.

## 6. Deleting a Project

After the official launch, the project owner can delete a project from the more options menu at the top of Project Home.

Deleting a project **permanently removes all analysis data, results, and analysis assets stored in the linked library**. This action cannot be undone.
